Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - Bob Ross noted that no agenda had been received. Mike LaBonte found it stuck in his outbox, in an error state. Review of previous meeting minutes: Minutes from the Sep 18 meeting were not available for review. ARs: - Mike LaBonte to test BUG202 crash testcase to diagnose the problem. Done, but no success. New IBISCHK bugs: - BUG202 Mike LaBonte said the crash had been found using the Ubuntu ibischk6, and that had been used for further testing. He had tried using dlopen() options other than RTLD_LAZY. Since it was crashing on the second .so load, he would check to see if ibischk is not closing them after use. Bob Ross noted that Wei-hsing from SPI Sim had said he would continue to investigate. Bob asked if it was an Ubuntu-specific issue. Mike said it crashes on Red Hat Enterprise Linux too. Mike said he was unable to compile ibischk6 using g++, to see if making it a C++ program would help. There were many compilation errors using g++. He noted that many existing models have been written with C++, so there is not a general problem checking those. Bob noted that we don't know how it would perform in commercial simulators. Mike said it worked in the SiSoft simulator, and suggested we might use the IBIS-AMI review program to see about the others. AR: Mike LaBonte check if DLLs are closed once not needed. AR: Bob Ross to get permission to do vendor model review for SPI Sim model. IBISCHK615 parser development: Bob Ross said Atul has not yet responded regarding the contract that was sent. Bob noted that he may be taking some time to review the new SAE-mandated contract template. Mike LaBonte said it might be best to included BUG202 in the scope of work if the model does not crash in vendor tools. If it does crash in some vendor tool, that might indicate a model problem. Bob said he might try some V/T table changes. Mike said that would not affect algorithmic operation. Bob will create a minimal testcase anyway. IBISCHK700 parser development: Bob Ross said we could begin applying the new SAE contract template to the IBISCHK7 contract. The template was delivered as a .dotx file, so it will be necessary to move existing content from one document to another. Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Mike LaBonte seconded. Without objection the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 12:00 ET Next meeting October 02, 2018
